Kurtz Named CAA Rookie Of The Week

NEWARK, Del. – Freshman Tye Kurtz has logged four hat tricks this spring for the University of Delaware men's lacrosse team.
On Monday, he tallied a different kind of hat trick, taking home the CAA Rookie of the Week honor for the third time this season.
Kurtz had four goals in Delaware's 13-7 victory over Hofstra on Saturday, which propelled the Blue Hens into the national polls for the first time since 2012.
At 10-2, Delaware is off to its best start since 1999 and at 3-0 sits atop the CAA with two weeks left in the regular season.
On the year, the Puslinch, Ontario native ranks second on the team in goals (30), assists (16) and points (46).
Kurtz and his teammates host 14th-ranked Towson this weekend at Delaware Stadium. Game time is set for 12 p.m.
