COCKEYSVILLE, Md. – The University of Delaware women's cross country team constantly talks about the importance of team.

That team was on display in the Blue Hens season opener this past weekend as Delaware ran its way to a second-place finish at the Towson Invitational, finishing just three points behind Lafayette.

Michaela Meyer led the way, grabbing a fourth-place finish, with her four of her teammates finishing with 15 seconds of her, for the closest spread of any team at the meet.

Jessica Pidgeon and Anna Cleary both made their collegiate debuts finishing 8^thand 11^threspectively.
