Nieves Tied for Second Place After First Day of Georgetown Intercollegiate

BEALLSVILLE, Md. – Roberto Nieves is tied for second place among individuals at seven under par following Sunday's opening two rounds of the Georgetown Intercollegiate.
Nieves carded rounds of 67 and 68 on the par 71, 7,102-yard Four Streams Golf Course, and is tied for second place along with Everett Whiten Jr. of Howard. Brandon Berry of Loyola leads the field at 11 under par.
Nieves fired five birdies during his first round on Sunday before adding six during his second round of the day.
Hugo Kedzlie is tied for 21st place with a two over par 73-71=144, while Michal Bargenda is tied for 39th place with a six over par 74-74=148.
Sparky Ariyachatvakin carded an 11 over par 76-77=153 to end the day in a tie for 54th place, while Owen Manchester recorded a 13 over par 78-77=155 to end Sunday's action in a tie for 57th place.
Jack Kaewrahan, playing as an individual, sits in 61st place at 15 over par 86-71=157.
Delaware, which carded identical team rounds of 290, is ninth out of 12 squads with a 580 total.
The final round of the tournament will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Monday.
