WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

• Delaware opens its December schedule against Delaware State in the Route 1 Rivalry.
• Both teams are coming off a game against LIU. The Blue Hens defeated the Sharks 75-67 Tuesday at the Bob Carpenter Center, while the Hornets dropped a 99-65 decision in Brooklyn last Saturday.
• All five starters reached double figures as Delaware won its second home game of the season over LIU on Tuesday.
• Andrew Carr led the way with a season-high 18 points, two shy of his career-best.
• Kevin Anderson added 13 points and five assists, while Jameer Nelson, Jr. scored 12 points and tied for the team lead with six rebounds.
• Ryan Allen scored 11 points, and needs two more to move into fifth place on UD's career scoring list. Allen also is seven three-pointers shy of the program mark.
• Delaware leads the all-time series with Delaware State, 15-5, and has won eight of the nine meetings in Dover including the last four.
• The in-state rivals met every year from 2009-2019 before last year's game was cancelled due to Covid. Delaware won seven of those 11 meetings.
• The last matchup was an 86-76 Blue Hen victory at the 76ers Fieldhouse in Wilmington on Dec. 16, 2019.
• UD opens a three-game homestand Sunday vs. UMBC.
