Men's Basketball Lands Transfer Kachi Nzeh

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware men's basketball program signed transfer Kachi Nzeh to the 2026-27 roster, head coach Martin Ingelsby announced Tuesday. Nzeh will join the Fightin' Blue Hens after spending the last season at Little Rock.
"We are thrilled to welcome Kachi to our Blue Hen basketball family," Ingelsby said. "He is an impact forward that will bolster our front line and give us both offensive and defensive versatility. Welcome to Newark, Kachi!"
The 6-8 forward has appeared in 80 games with 38 starts in his career, while shooting 49.7 percent from the floor and 41.5 from three.
Last season, Nzeh started all 32 games for the Trojans where he averaged 28.2 minutes, 11.7 points, and 4.8 rebounds per game with 42 assists and 30 blocks. He scored a career-high 30 points against Arkansas State.
Prior to Little Rock, the Upper Darby, Pa. native attended Penn State for the 2024-25 season where he made two starts on 29 appearances and averaged 2.6 points and 2.2 rebounds per game, while shooting 61.1 percent from the field.
Nzeh played his freshman season at Xavier, where he appeared in 19 games with four starts. He averaged 2.5 points and 2.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 60-percent from the field.
Coming out of The George School, Nzeh was rated as the No. 2 player in the state of Pennsylvania by 247Sports, was named the 2022-23 Philadelphia Sports Digest Non-PIAA Player of the Year, and earned First Team accolades after averaging 17.6 points and 10.7 rebounds per game. Nzeh also received First Team All-State and First Team All-League honors during his junior season after averaging 20 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks per game. He rounded out his three-year high school career with 1,102 points over one year at Upper Darby High School followed by two years at The George School.
