WALLACE, N.C. – The University of Delaware men's golf team sits in 10th place following Monday's two rounds at the Seahawk Intercollegiate.
The Blue Hens fired rounds of 299 and 296 during their first action of the 2021 spring season. Tournament host UNCW leads the field with a 553 score, while Wright State is second at 565.
UD junior Roberto Nieves is tied for 34th place among individuals after carding a three over par 78-69-147 on the par 72, 7,017-yard River Landing course. Nieves posted birdies on 2, 4, 7 and 13 while making just one bogey during his impressive second round.
Michal Bargenda recorded a pair of 74 rounds on Monday, and is tied for 36th place at four over par 148. Owen Manchester is tied for 43rd place with an eight over par 75-77-152, while Jack Halleron is tied for 46th place with a nine over par 77-76-153.
Elliot Haas is tied for 54th place with a 11 over par 73-82-155, while Hugo Kedzlie is tied for 60th place with a 19 over par 82-81-163.
Blake McShea of UNCW holds a two-shot lead heading into Tuesday's final round as he sits at 10 under par.
