Nieves, Kedzlie Post Top 10 Finishes at Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Roberto Nieves tied for third place while Hugo Kedzlie tied for seventh to lead the Delaware men's golf team this week at the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate.
Nieves carded a two over par 72 during his final round on the par 70, 6,799-yard Golden Horseshoe Gold Course to tie for third place among individuals with a two over par 73-67-72-212. Nieves posted four birdies on Tuesday, including three straight on the sixth through eighth holes.
Kedzlie recorded the lowest round of the day by a Blue Hen with a one under par 71, tying for seventh place with a four over par 73-70-71-214. Kedzlie also carded four birdies during Tuesday's round to post the second best finish of his career.
Jack Halleron, playing as an individual, tied for 57th place with a 19 over par 78-76-75-229, while RJ Wren finished in 68th place with a 23 over par 79-80-74-233.
Michal Bargenda fired a 26 over par 80-80-76-236 to tie for 71st place, while Owen Manchester finished 74th with a 27 over par 82-77-78-237. Elliot Haas, playing as an individual, tied for 76th place with a 30 over par 79-84-77-240.
The Blue Hens fired a 293 team score on Tuesday to move up three spots and finish eighth out of 16 squads with an 892 total. VCU won the team title with an 859 score, while Old Dominion finished second four shots back. The Monarchs' Jakob Henriksson was the tournament medalist as he posted a six-shot victory by finishing at five under par.
