Roberto Nieves Ties for Sixth at Villanova Spring Invitational

VILLANOVA, Pa. – Blue Hen junior Roberto Nieves tied for sixth place in the individual standings as the Delaware men's golf team competed in the Villanova Spring Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.

Nieves carded a three over par 73 during Tuesday's round on the par 70, 6,484-yard Radnor Valley Country Club course, finishing with a three over 70-73-143.

Hugo Kedzlie tied for 40th place with a 10 over par 76-74-150, while RJ Wren (75-76-151) and Owen Manchester (73-78-151) each tied for 45th place at 11 over par.

Michal Bargenda, who fired a 75-77-152, and Jack Halleron, who shot a 73-79-152, both tied for 58th place at 12 over par.

The Blue Hens carded team rounds of 291 and 300 to tie for ninth place out of 16 squads with a 591 total. St. John's won the team title at 573, finishing one shot better than Temple.

Delaware will next compete in the CAA Championship at St. Helena Island, S.C. on Apr. 25-27.
