Carroll Leads Individuals, Blue Hens Second at Golfweek Spring Invitational

PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. – Blue Hen freshman Christina Carroll leads all individuals while the Delaware women's golf team sits in second place following Monday's opening two rounds at the Golfweek Spring Invitational.
Carroll carded a two over par 68-76-144 on the par 71, 6,123-yard Caledonia Golf & Fish Club course on Monday, and holds a one-shot lead over two USC Upstate players. Her opening round 66 featured six birdies and nine pars, while she added one birdie during her second round of the day.
Fellow freshman Oihana Etxezarreta is tied for fifth place after she fired a six over par 71-77-148 during Monday's action. Lexi Dart is tied for 17th place with a 13 over par 76-79-155, while Liz Coffren is tied for 22nd place with a 14 over par 80-76-156.
Siena Ferrick, playing as an individual, is tied for 28th place with a 17 over par 78-81-159, while Anna Kittelson is tied for 32nd place with a 20 over par 81-81-162.
Delaware carded an impressive 295 opening round before posting a 308 second round, ending the day in second place out of eight squads with a 603 total. USC Upstate leads the field with a 589 score.
The final round of the tournament will take place on Tuesday.
