Ten Blue Hens Pick Up All-CAA Post Season Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – Ten Delaware track and field student-athletes earned All-Colonial Athletic Association honors following a tremendous showing at the 2021 CAA Championships. All-CAA Honorees were chosen by placing in the top three of their respective events.
Holly Manning and Megan Albamonti both qualified for the NCAA preliminaries after their CAA Championship performances. Manning placed first in the 800-meter (2:06.24) while Albamonti took home the gold in javelin (49.60m).
Aja Davis finished third in both the 100-meter (12.03) and 200-meter (24.32).
Jessica Harding took silver in the 800-meter (2:12.87).
Taliah Cintron picked up silver in the 400-meter hurdles (1:02.38) and Jessica Pidgeon earned bronze in the 10,000-meter (35:53.58).
Wrapping up a standout year, Susanna Weir placed second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (10:33.26).
The Blue Hens has a great showing in the field events at this year's CAA Championship. Three Blue Hens placed second in their events - Halimah Roberson in the triple jump (12.25m), Myrissa McFolling-Young in discus (44.72m), and Chioma Njoku in the hammer throw (53.39m).
In addition to the individual honors, two of the Blue Hens relay teams were also honored. The 4x100 meter team finished second with a time of 46.35 and consisted of Trinity Tapper, Kamylin Padgham, Shylehn Ebuenga-Smith, and Aja Davis. The 4x400 team, made up of Sydni Stovall, Jessica Harding, Alyssa Armor, and Holly Manning, placed third in the tournament with a finishing time of 3:49.65.
