Delaware Moves Up To Second Place at Golfweek Fall Challenge

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Delaware men's golf team moved up to second place with another impressive showing on Monday during the second day of the Golfweek Fall Challenge.
After firing a 283 on Sunday, the Blue Hens followed with a 281 on Monday to finish the day in second place out of 18 teams with a 564 total. Mercer leads the tournament with a 547 score, while Delaware is second 17 shots back.
Roberto Nieves fired his second consecutive three under par 69 on Monday on the par 72, 7,005-yard True Blue Course, and is tied for seventh place among individuals with a six under par 138. Nieves carded four birdies while making just one bogey during his second round.
Hugo Kedzlie is tied for 22nd place with a one under par 72-71-143, while Owen Manchester is tied for 30th place with an even par 72-72-144.
Sparky Ariyachatvakin, who tied Nieves for the lowest round of the day by a Blue Hen, is tied for 34th place with a one over par 76-69-145. Ariyachatvakin recorded seven birdies on Monday, including three straight on the fourth through sixth holes.
Michal Bargenda is tied for 42nd place with a two over par 70-76-146 while Xiong Da, playing as an individual, is tied for 52nd place with a three over par 75-72-147.
The final round of the three-day tournament will be held on Tuesday.
