STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The University of Delaware track & field team returned to action Friday, Jan. 28, at the Great Dane Invitational hosted by UAlbany inside Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, N.Y. The Blue & Gold were familiar with New York's indoor space where the team put together a pair of first-place finishes and had outstanding performances by nine Blue Hens.
"The coaching staff felt good about today's performances across the board," said head coach Ryan Waite. "Nine athletes achieved UD all-time top-10 marks and a few more qualified for the ECAC indoor championships. Probably what we're most proud of though is that the team is showing fight and hunger as we work through the early portions of the season. We're excited for the meets to come!"
