NEWARK, Del. -Â The men's swimming and diving program will head up to Connecticut to compete against Yale on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, the Blue Hens' second meet of the season.Â

What You Need To Know
- Delaware opened its season with victories over UMBC and Johns Hopkins, 235-50-63.50 and 204.00 and 89.00, on Oct. 8 at Rawstrom Natatorium.Â
- In his collegiate debut, Matvei Namakonov placed first (21.04) in the 50 free.
- Gavin Currie finished in first place in the 100 back (50.67) and 200 back (1:51.18).
- Toni Sabev finished in first place (55.41) in the 100 breast and first place in the 200 breast (2:06.20).
- Simeon Sabev finished in first place in the 100 fly (49.70) and 200 fly (1:50.69).
- The 200 medley relay team of Currie, Toni Sabev, Simeon Sabev, and Kamakonov finished in first place (1:30.26).
- The 400 freestyle team of Toni Sabev, Namakonov, Ryan Polino, and Miguel Vasquez also finished in first place (3:05.39) in the 400 freestyle relay.
- In the 1-meter dive, Kevin Seigfried led the way in his first collegiate meet and took first place with a total score of 287.55. Siegfried also finished in first place in the 3-meter dive with a total of 300.45.
CAA Weekly Awards
- Seigfried was named CAA Diver of the Week on Oct. 11, 2022 after his performance against UMBC and Johns Hopkins.Â
