What You Need to Know:
- This will be the 74th meeting between Delaware and Hofstra with the Pride holding the 50-23 all-time record.
- With every conference match-up holding significant weight as the postseason nears, the Blue Hens will look to use the motivation from last season's series split to push them through. Last season, Delaware dropped the first match of the weekend to Hofstra in four sets before sweeping the Pride in three inside Bob Carpenter Center (Oct. 2-3, 2021).
- The last time the Blue Hens suited up against new conference foe Stony Brook last weekend. Delaware snapped their two-match skid with a straight-set victory on Oct. 15 before falling in a five-set heartbreaker to the Seawolves on Oct. 16.
- Hofstra enters the weekend series as the only CAA team that is unbeaten in league play to go along with a 10-match winning streak. The last time the Pride hit the hardwood was at UNCW last weekend, where they swept the season series with a four-set victory on Oct. 15 and followed with a 3-0 win on Oct. 15.
- The statline vs. Stony Brook (Sunday): Lani Mason paced Delaware with 23 kills and 16 digs to post her ninth double-double on the season. Kirah Johnson followed with 11 kills and five blocks. Lily Rogers took charge of the Blue Hen offense with 48 assists while helping on the defensive end with 20 digs, registering her fifth double-double on the season. Anchoring the Blue Hen defense was Savannah Seemans, Eileen Gex and Amelia Painter, who scooped up 28, 17 and 14 digs, respectively. Standing tall for Delaware was Pearce Augier who sent away five attempts.
- For the third-straight week, Mason leads the nation in kills per set (5.45) while ranking third in points per set (5.87), sixth in total kills (356), eighth in points (387.5) and 11th in attacks per set (12.24). Rogers ranks 13th in triple doubles (1).
