Blue Hens Third After First Day of Ironwood Collegiate Classic

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The University of Delaware men's golf team sits in third place following Monday's opening two rounds of the Ironwood Collegiate Classic.
The Blue Hens posted rounds of 299 and 284 to end the day in third place out of 12 squads with a 583 score. Tournament host East Carolina leads the field at 578, while Gardner-Webb is second with a 582 total.
UD freshman Casper Nerpin is tied for fifth place among individuals after he carded a two under par 72-70=142 on the par 72, 7,120-yard course at Ironwood Country Club. Nerpin recorded four birdies in each of his rounds on Monday.
Owen Manchester, who carded six birdies on the day, is tied for 15th place with a two over par 76-70=146 while Michal Bargenda, who eagled the fourth hole during his second round, is tied for 17th place with a three over par 74-73=147.
Sparky Ariyachatvakin is tied for 21st place with a four over par 77-71=148, while Hugo Kedzlie shot an 11 over par 77-78=155 and is tied for 54th place. Matthew Adams, playing as an individual, is tied for 68th place with a 16 over par 78-82=160.
The final round of the tournament will begin at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
