WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
...............................................................
• Delaware opens up a four-game homestand vs. long-time rival Drexel.
• The Blue Hens are playing four consecutive home games for the first time since Feb. 1-12, 2014. That's the only other time UD has played four straight CAA home games.
• A win tonight would give Delaware just its second CAA start of 7-3 or better since joining the league in 2001-02. The 2013-14 squad won its first 11 league games en route to the CAA title.
• The Blue Hens are coming off an 85-69 win at James Madison last Saturday. Ebby Asamoah, returning from a sprained ankle suffered at Towson, scored a career-high 30 points and tied his career-best with six three-pointers.
• Jyare Davis, whose previous career-high was 11 points, poured in 22 to go with career-bests of seven rebounds and six assists. Davis was named CAA Rookie of the Week on Monday.
• Delaware has scored at least 80 points in each of its last four victories.
• UD ranks second in the league with a 76.2 scoring average in league games. The Blue Hens lead the CAA in field goal percentage (49.1), assists (15.6) and blocks (4.8) in conference games.
• Ryan Allen needs three points to reach the 1,700 mark for his career. He needs 17 more to pass Greg Smith and move into third place on UD's career scoring list.
• Delaware posted an 81-77 win at Drexel on Jan. 11, behind 23 points from Allen and 20 from Jameer Nelson Jr. The Blue Hens led by 22 points with 13:45 left before hanging on for the win.
