Women's Lacrosse Game Preview: La Salle

» The Blue Hens (0-2) fell to No. 20 Penn, 4-15, in Philadelphia Saturday. Sydni Rosa led the way offensively with two goals. This marked Rosa's first career start and goal with the Blue Hens.

» La Salle (2-0) is coming off a 10-9 win against Mount St. Mary's (Md.) that went into triple overtime. Emily Johnston and Maddie Henderson each scored three goals, with Johnston scoring the game-winning goal.

» The Blue Hens return four of their five top players in points scored from a year ago. Danika Swech, Kendra Schweizer, Meghan Johnson, and Jenna McHale accounted for 93 percent of Delaware's scoring from 2021.

» Saturday marks the 10th meeting between La Salle and Delaware. In the teams' last meeting, the Explorers defeated the Blue Hens, 7-4, Feb. 27, 2021. Delaware holds a 6-3 all-time record against La Salle.

» The captains for the 2022 season are Meghan Johnson and Danika Swech.
