Roberto Nieves Named CAA Men’s Golfer of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Blue Hen senior Roberto Nieves has been named Colonial Athletic Association Men's Golfer of the Week following his outstanding performance at the Loyola Intercollegiate.
Nieves, who won the award three times in the fall, tied for third place at the tournament with an 11 under par 68-68-69=205 on the par 72, 7,015-yard Palm Valley Golf Club course.
Nieves recorded three birdies and an eagle during the first round, six birdies during the second round, and four during the third round. He has finished among the top four individuals in all six of Delaware's tournaments this season.
Nieves has been the Blue Hens' low finisher in every invitational this year, and has carded the four lowest three-round scores in program history.
