Women's Lacrosse Game Preview: Maryland

» The Blue Hens (1-2) downed La Salle, 14-9, Feb. 23. Delaney McDaniel led the way offensively with a game-high five points on two goals and three assists. McDaniel's strong performance against La Salle earned her CAA Rookie of the Week honors.

» Lizzie Hsu was also a key factor in the win against La Salle, scoring three goals, including the game-winning goal. Danika Swech, Sydni Rosa and Lizzie Yurchak each netted two goals in the win as well.

» No. 4 Maryland (3-0) is coming off an 18-8 win against No. 7 Florida in Maryland's home opener. Aurora Cordingley led the Terps with 10 points on four goals and six assists against the Gators. Cordingley leads Maryland with 21 points (13g, 8a). Hannah Leubecker and Libby May are tied second on the squad with nine goals each.

» Saturday marks the 21st meeting between Maryland and Delaware. In the teams' last meeting, Maryland defeated the Blue Hens, 21-4, Feb. 26, 2012. The Terps hold a 16-3-1 all-time record against Delaware.

» The captains for the 2022 season are Meghan Johnson and Danika Swech.
