Ariyachatvakin, Blue Hens Finish Eighth at Bash at the Beach

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Sparky Ariyachatvakin tied for eighth place among individuals while the Delaware men's golf team also finished eighth in the team standings at the Bash at the Beach Tournament.
Ariyachatvakin fired a one under par 70 on Tuesday during his final round on the par 71, 6,711-yard Surf Golf & Beach Club course, tying for eighth place with a seven under par 67-69-70=206. Ariyachatvakin recorded his fourth top 10 finish of the year, including his third straight.
Roberto Nieves tied for 32nd place at the tournament with a one under par 70-73-69=212, while Michal Bargenda tied for 49th place with a three over par 72-72-72=216.
Jack Halleron, playing as an individual, carded a five over par 72-76-70=218. Egor Zubov tied for 63rd place with an eight over par 73-75-73=221, while Hugo Kedzlie finished in 88th place with a 22 over par 81-72-82=235.
Delaware recorded a 284 team round on Tuesday and finished eighth out of 15 squads with an 852 total. Troy captured the team title with an 828 score, finishing two shots ahead of Appalachian State.
The Blue Hens return to action on Mar. 27-28 when they compete in the Seahawk Intercollegiate in Wallace, N.C.
