Women's Lacrosse Game Preview: Georgetown

» The Blue Hens (1-3) were topped by No. 4 Maryland (4-0), 15-2, Tuesday evening. Mercy McCarthy made a career-high 17 saves and boasted a .708 save percentage in the loss. Her 17 saves are tied seventh in NCAA Division I individual game highs and rank fifth all-time in Delaware single-game records.

» Lizzie Hsu, Danika Swech and Sydni Rosa each have a team-best five goals this season. Riley Gillin (3g, 5a) and Delaney McDaniel (2g, 6a) each lead the team with eight points.

» Georgetown (1-2) is coming off a 16-10 loss at No. 20 Johns Hopkins Wednesday. Ali Diamond led the Hoyas with three goals, while Kylie Hazen added two goals and an assist in the loss. Diamond leads Georgetown with 11 points (7g, 4a) so far this season, while Annabelle Albert leads the squad with nine goals. Goalkeeper Emily Gaven has made 17 stops in the cage and holds a .349 save percentage.

» Saturday marks the 11th meeting between Georgetown and Delaware. In the teams' last meeting, Georgetown defeated the Blue Hens, 14-8, March 5, 2021. The Hoyas hold a 7-3 all-time record against Delaware.

» The captains for the 2022 season are Meghan Johnson and Danika Swech.
