Ariyachatvakin Places Second at Wildcat Spring Invitational

VILLANOVA, Pa. – Sparky Ariyachatvakin finished in second place among individuals at two under par as the Delaware men's golf team competed in the Wildcat Spring Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.
After firing a 68 during his opening round on Monday, Ariyachatvakin carded an even par 70 during Tuesday's round on the par 70, 6,457-yard Radnor Valley Country Club course to finish with a two under par 138. He was one shot behind Marquette's Hunter Eichhorn, who finished at three under par to earn medalist honors.
Egor Zubov, playing as an individual, tied for eighth place at the tournament with a five over par 72-73-=145.
Roberto Nieves carded an 11 over par 76-75=151 to finish in a tie for 40th place, while Michal Bargenda tied for 47th place with a 12 over par 73-79=152.
Jack Halleron tied for 56th place by carding a 14 over par 75-79=154, while Hugo Kedzlie tied for 75th place with a 21 over par 76-85=161.
The Blue Hens tied for ninth place out of 15 teams with a 595 two-round total.
The tournament was UD's final tuneup before the CAA Championship, which will take place Apr. 24-26 in Dataw Island, S.C.
