Roberto Nieves Named To All-CAA Men’s Golf First Team

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Delaware senior Roberto Nieves has been named to the Colonial Athletic Association Men's Golf First Team as the league announced its all-conference honorees on Thursday.
Nieves, who also earned first team honors last season, is the first Blue Hen in program history to earn multiple first team All-CAA accolades.
Nieves enjoyed an outstanding senior season in which he broke his own program record by averaging 70.58 shots per round. He posted seven top-five finishes on the year, was the Wildcat Fall Invitational individual champion and competed in the NCAA New Haven Regional.
A four-time CAA Men's Golfer of the Week recipient, he was the Blue Hens' low finisher eight times. Sixteen of Nieves's rounds this season were in the 60's, doubling the previous record of eight set by himself in 2019-20 and Justin Martinson in 2009-10.
Nieves, who holds the three lowest single season average rounds in program history, is also UD's record holder with a 71.71 career average round.
