CAA Announces Women’s Basketball 2022-23 Conference Schedule

Conference Schedule
RICHMOND, Va. – The Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) revealed its 2022-23 women's basketball conference slate Tuesday morning.
Delaware, the defending champions, will tip off CAA play on Friday, Dec. 30 when they welcome Hofstra. The Blue Hens will then host conference newcomer Monmouth for a New Year's Day showdown (Jan. 1). Additional home contests include Towson (Jan. 20), Elon (Jan. 27), Northeastern (Feb. 5), UNCW (Feb. 10), Charleston (Feb. 12), Drexel (Feb. 19) and new conference foe North Carolina A&T (Mar. 2) to close out the home slate.
The Blue Hens conference road trip includes facing Drexel (Jan. 6), Elon (Jan. 13), North Carolina A&T (Jan. 15), William & Mary (Jan. 29), Towson (Feb. 3), Hofstra (Feb. 17), Northeastern (Feb. 24), new conference member Stony Brook (Feb. 26) and new league foe Hampton (Mar. 4) to conclude the regular season.
The 2023 CAA Women's Basketball Championship presented by Primis is scheduled for Mar. 8-12 at SECU Arena on the campus of Towson University in Towson, Md.
Teams will play an 18-game conference schedule against all 12 league foes that features six repeat opponents, three home-only opponents and three away-only opponents, marking the first time since 2012-13 that the league has not played a full double round-robin schedule. In total, each team will play nine home games and nine road games.
The league accommodated regional rivalries with input from the institutions throughout the process. Conference games will primarily be slated for a Friday/Sunday schedule. All conference games will be available nationally on FloHoops with some contests on various regional sports networks on the East Coast.
