Men's Soccer Defeated By Elon

NEWARK, Del. - Delaware's men's soccer team fell to Elon, 2-0, on Sept. 17, 2022 at Stuart & Suzanne Grant Stadium. Adam Vik recorded three saves in the match for the Blue Hens (2-4-1, 0-3-0), while Sam Donnellan and Jordan Miller both recorded shots on goal. Alvin Halley and Miller both earned their starts of the season.
The Blue Hens did a good job keeping Elon (5-1-0, 2-1-0), the conference leader in goals scored, off the board for much of the first half. Petro Klishch scored in the 34th minute to break the ice, and Calle Edelstam tacked on an insurance goal in the 75th minute for the Phoenix. Delaware recorded six corner kicks in the game as compared to one by Elon.Â
Delaware hits the road for a non-conference matchup against Lehigh on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 6:00 p.m. Their next road game comes on Sept. 24 against UNCW.Â
