Richard Monath Named CAA Offensive Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Delaware men's soccer midfielder Richard Monath has been named the CAA Offensive Player of the Week for his performances against NJIT and Hofstra, the league announced Monday.
The freshman from Essex, MD, recorded a goal and assist in each of last week's contests. Monath assisted the first goal and scored the game-winner in the 78th minute of Delaware's 2-1 victory over NJIT in its first ever matchup against the Highlanders. Monath scored the first goal of the match and assisted the game-winner in the 64th minute in the Hens' 2-1 defeat of the #18 ranked Hofstra Pride.
The Blue Hens record is now 8-2-4 overall and 2-2-2 in conference play.
