Men’s Basketball Set to Take on Brown, Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship

NASSAU, Bahamas – The University of Delaware men's basketball team is set to take on Brown in the Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship on Friday at 1:30 p.m. The Blue Hens will play Saturday and Sunday as well with opponents to be determined.

ABOUT BAHA MAR HOOPS NASSAU CHAMPIONSHIP

It's a three-day event hosted at the Baha Mar Convention Arts & Entertainment Center in Nassau, Bahamas.
Teams competing in the event are Delaware, Brown, George Washington, Kansas City, Middle Tennessee State, Ohio, UIC, and UNCG.

ABOUT THE HENS

The Hens are currently third in the nation in three-point field-goal percentage at 45.3.
On the 4-0 start, UD is averaging just under 81 points per game and outpacing its opponents by more than 18 per contest.
Seven Blue Hens are scoring at least 8.0 points per game, with six at 9.3 or better.
Jyáre Davis sits atop the team with 20.7 points on average with at least 20 in all three games he's played this season.
Christian Ray is close to a double-double on average with 9.8 points and 9.8 rebounds.
Gerald Drumgoole Jr. (11.8), Tyler Houser (11.0), Cavan Reilly (10.7), and Niels Lane (9.3) join that group.

ABOUT THE BEARS

Brown enters Friday's game 1-4 overall under 12^th-year head coach Mike Martin.
The Bear are 0-3 in games away from home this season.
Kino Lilly Jr. is leading the team with 18.0 points per game.
He's joined by Nana Owusu-Anane (17.4) and Kalu Anya (10.8) as the only double-digit scorers.

SERIES HISTORY

Friday's game will be the first-ever matchup between the two programs.
This would be the case for games against Kansas City and UIC, as well.

UNCG and Delaware have played seven times prior with the Spartans holding a 4-3 advantage.
