Men's Lacrosse Celebrates 75th Anniversary vs Fairfield

NEWARK, Del. – No. 20/20/20 Delaware men's lacrosse hosts its 75th anniversary game, and senior day against Fairfield on Saturday, April 8 at Delaware Stadium.

The men's lacrosse program celebrates its 75th anniversary this weekend. Prior to Saturday's game, the University will host a tailgate for all returning Delaware men's lacrosse alumni. Throughout the game, we will take a look back at some of the most memorable moments in the history of Delaware men's lacrosse. The first 150 fans in attendance will receive a free 75-Year Anniversary hat to commemorate this milestone.
In addition to its 75th season, the men's lacrosse program will also celebrate senior day. UD will honor 10 seniors this Saturday: Josh Bayer, Jake DeMare, Rich Dion, Harrison Ewing, Roland Hockenbery, Nick Jessen, Reed Kurtz, Drew Lenkaitis, Mike Robinson, and Tate Wasson.
UD will also be holding a student raffle for two tickets to the upcoming Taylor Swift concert that takes place on Saturday, May 13 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. Only UD students that show a valid student ID can enter the raffle.
SCOUTING DELAWARE
Delaware hits the road and travels to Stony Brook, N.Y. for a conference contest against Stony Brook on Saturday, April 15 at 3 p.m.

SCOUTING DELAWARE
- The Blue Hens enter Saturday's contest with a 7-3 overall record and a 3-0 record in the CAA. The Blue Hens have won four of their last five games following a two-game losing streak earlier this season.
- Tye Kurtz enters the weekend second in the country in goals scored with 38, and points in the country with 57.
- Kurtz has tied the program record for most points in a carreer, with 251. The next point he scores will break Anthony DiMarzio's record that was set back in 1995. Kurtz is also third all-time in program history in goals, with 160. He needs 3 goals to pass Curtis Dickson for the most goals in a career at 163.
- JP Ward enters Saturday's contest third in the country, and first in the CAA, in assists with 30. He recieved conference player of the week following an eight assist preformance against Hampton, which tied the conference record for most assists in a game.
- Owen Grant is fifth in the country in caused turnovers with 22, and in caused turnovers per game with 2.20. Grant and Joe Speers rank in the top five in the Colonial Athletic Association in caused turnovers. Grant is second the conference while Speers ranks third with 16 caused turnovers.
- Matt Kilkeary first in the CAA in goals against average at 8.57, and save percentage at .550.
- As a team, the Blue Hens are third in the country in scoring differential (+6.20), fourth in goals against average (8.60), sixth in total goals scored (148), tied for seventh in total man-up goals (14), eighth in goals per game (14.80), and 10th in total caused turnovers (92).
- Fairfield enters Saturday's game with a 3-7 record overall and a 1-2 record in the CAA.
- The Stags have lost six of their last seven contests after starting the season 2-1. Their lone win came against CAA foe Hofstra.
- Offensively, the Stags are led by Bryce Ford, and Jack McKenna. Ford leads the Stags in assists with 14, and points with 38. He's also scored 24 goals this season. McKenna leads in goals scored with 26, and is second on the team in points with 32.
- Defensively, Zach Antoniou leads the Stags in caused turnovers with 12. He is the lone player on the roster with 10 or more caused turnovers.
- Will Snyder and Colin Consoli have split time in net. Snyder has started eight games, has a 12.13 goals against average and a .470 save percentage. Consoli has started two games, has a 13.50 goals against average and a .460 save percentage.
