Dickens, Hranicka Named CSC Academic All-District Team

NEWARK, Del. - Mae Dickens and Madison Hranicka were named to the College Sports Communicators 2023 Academic All-District Team, as announced on Tuesday, May 23. This recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom, with a GPA of 3.50 or higher. Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, to be announced on June 22.
Dickens, a captain, is an elementary education major with a concentration in special education. She started in all 16 games this season, scooping up 15 ground balls, including a season-best three against Georgetown. Dickens has been named to the CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll throughout her career, and is an active member of the community. Along with being an organization representative in SAAC, she is involved in UDANCE, OneLove, and was a Hens Mentor.
Hranicka was named CAA Defensive Player of the Year, setting a program record for caused turnovers (50), and received First-Team All-Region honors. She was named to the CAA All-Tournament Team and earned conference Defensive Player of the Week three times. She was also a captain and is pursuing an MBA after graduating with a marketing degree in the fall.
