McFolling-Young Concludes Season at NCAA Track & Field Outdoor Championships First Rounds

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Myrissa McFolling-Young represented the University of Delaware track & field team on the final day of the NCAA Track & Field Outdoor Championships First Rounds, hosted by University of North Florida Saturday, May 27 from Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla. McFolling-Young was the lone Blue Hen competing Saturday afternoon as the Smyrna, Del. native saw her season come to a close.
The Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) discus throw champion was set to make her second-career appearance in the East regional ready to throw in the second flight, ninth position. McFolling-Young's final throw sailed through the air for 50.69m, which was good enough for 19th place overall. McFolling-Young saw a major improvement from four years ago where she threw 6.39 meters farther than her 2019 throw of 44.30m (43rd place) to conclude her stellar career in the Blue & Gold uniform.

Megan Albamonti will be heading to Austin, Texas to compete for the first time in her career for a national championship in the javelin throw at the NCAA Division I Men's & Women's Track & Field Championships running June 7-10. The University of Texas, Austin will serve as hosts as Albamonti is slated to compete on Thursday, June 8 at 7:45 p.m. ET/6:45 p.m. CT from Mike A. Myers Track & Soccer Stadium.
