NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware women's lacrosse team has added Notre Dame transfer Jaclyn Marszal, head coach Amy Altig announced Thursday. She joins her sister, Steph Marszal on the Blue Hens' roster.
"We are thrilled to welcome Jaclyn to the Blue Hen Family," Altig said. "Jaclyn is going to be a great addition to our program both with her on field talents and off the field with her high academic standing. She brings a great amount of experience with her from Notre Dame and we look forward to seeing the impact Jaclyn makes on our team this year."
Marszal joins the Blue Hens after spending her freshman campaign at Notre Dame in 2023. The Catonsville, Md. native appeared in five games for the Irish, registering a pair of goals on three shots.
Prior to her stay in South Bend, Marszal aided Glenelg Country School to a #1 national ranking as a senior. She was the recipient of the Moxley Scholar Athlete Award and won the Under Armour Underclass All-American Tournament with the Baltimore Highlight Team in 2019.
She ended her senior season with 121 points on 54 goals and 67 assists to land her IAAM A All-Conference Team honors. She'd go on to be named Varsity Sports Offensive Player of the Year, the Washington Post Girls Lacrosse Player of the Year, and was named to the Baltimore Sun First Team All-Metro, The Washington Post First Team All-Metro, and Howard County First Team All-County.
A participant in the 2022 Under Armour All-American Senior Game, she finished her high school career with 106 goals and 120 assists. She is the daughter of Jay and Theresea, and is a triplet with Steph and Jamie.
