Men's Soccer Remains Undefeated with a Tie at Campbell

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The University of Delaware men's soccer team took on CAA newcomer Campbell to begin league play Saturday night. The teams competed to a 1-1 draw. The Blue Hens improve to 2-0-1 on the season and 0-0-1 in conference play after the draw against the Fighting Camels.
HEN HIGHLIGHTS
- Justin Ruth tallied his first goal of the season.
- Sean Smith recorded his first career assist.
- Eddie DeMarco remains undefeated in goal.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Campbell scored in the 17th minute and held on to the 1-0 lead after the first 45 minutes of play.
- Shortly after the start of the second half, Ruth's shot saw the back of the net off an assist from Smith, putting the Blue Hens on the board.
- Delaware continued to press Campbell's defense but was unsuccessful in attempts to take the lead.
GAME NOTES
- Delaware recorded 13 total shots, with four on goal.

Delaware returns to action on Tuesday night with a matchup at Mount St. Mary's.
