Men’s Basketball Welcomes Stony Brook Thursday, Heads to Drexel Saturday

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware men's basketball team returns to the Bob Carpenter Center Thursday to host Stony Brook at 7 p.m. and then will take on Drexel on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Philadelphia.

ABOUT THE HENS

Delaware is 10-7 overall this season and 2-2 in league play.
Six Hens are scoring at least 8.9 points per game on average this season with a quartet at 10+.
Jyáre Davis leads the group with 17.9 points per game and has scored at least 17 in eight of his last 11 games.
Gerald Drumgoole Jr. (12.5), Cavan Reilly (11.1), and Jalun Trent (10.1) round out those in double figures.
Christian Ray leads the Hens and is second in the CAA with 8.8 rebounds per game.
Thursday will be the first home game after three on the road. It will also mark the first of four of the next six inside the BCC.

ABOUT THE SEAWOLVES

Stony Brook enters Thursday's contest at 2-2 in CAA action and 9-8 overall.
Last week, the Seawolves tallied a 73-64 overtime loss to Towson and a 63-59 win over William & Mary.
The Seawolves have three players averaging double figure point totals. Tyler Stephenson-Moore leads the squad with 14.9 ppg, followed by Aaron Clarke at 12.2 and Keenan Fitzmorris at 10.6.
Stony Brook is ninth in scoring offense in the CAA at 70.9 points per game, while ranking seventh in scoring defense at 72.2 points per game.

ABOUT THE DRAGONS

Drexel enters Saturday's contest atop the CAA with a 5-0 record and is 12-6 overall on the year. The Dragons will host Monmouth on Thursday.
Drexel topped North Carolina A&T 67-63 and defeated Elon 89-69 last week.
The Dragons feature two players averaging double figures as Justin Moore and Amari Williams post 12.9 and 11.9 points per game, respectively.
The Dragons have a rebound margin of +9.9 and lead the CAA with a +10.3 scoring margin.
Drexel has allowed an average of 63.4 points to opponents this season, the top margin in the CAA.

SERIES HISTORIES

Thursday's contest against Stony Brook will be the fourth meeting all-time between the two schools.
Delaware holds a 2-1 edge over the Seawolves, having won the last two meetings.
Saturday's contest against Drexel will be the 168th meeting between the two schools, dating back to 1912. The Dragons are the most common opponent in program history.
Delaware holds an 85-82 record over the Dragons, with the latter winning the last two matchups.
