Men’s Golf Places Eighth at Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational

FARMINGTON, Pa. – Playing in a challenging 14-team field, the University of Delaware men's golf team finished in eighth place at the inaugural Nemacolin Collegiate Invitational, hosted by the University of West Virginia. The Blue Hens carded a three-round score of 36-over par 900 at the par-72, 7,526-yard Mystic Rock Golf Course at Nemacolin Resort.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Blue Hens totaled 30 birdies over the 54 holes, including 12 during Tuesday's final round.
- Zubov had five birdies on Tuesday to clinch his second top-10 finish of the season as he turned in an even-par 72 over each of the final two rounds. The senior had 10 birdies over the tournament.
- Areephun finished strong with a 3-under over his final nine holes on Tuesday to climb 11 spots in the rankings and finish in a tie for 33rd with Iampongsai.
UP NEXT
The Blue Hens will be back in action in a couple of weeks when they make the short trip to the Georgetown Intercollegiate. The two-day, three-round tournament will be held October 14-15.
