Stenner, Donnellan Earn Weekly CAA Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Delaware men's soccer duo, Marius Stenner and Sam Donnellan both nabbed spots on the CAA Weekly Award list after a killer performance against UNCW, finishing 3-1. Stenner, a freshman out of Denmark picked up his second Rookie of the Week award. Australian senior forward, Donnellan, was awarded Offensive Player of the Week.
This award marks Stenner's third time earning a spot on the weekly awards list this season. He earned Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Aug 26 and his first Rookie of the Week award on Sept. 30. He is awarded this week's title after a busy match against UNCW on Friday. He collected a goal and an assist, which solidified his team lead in points at 21 and goals at 8. He is now also tied as a team leader in assists at 5.
Donnellan also put up a stellar performance during UNCW's match, as he scored two goals for the Hens. Donnellan only took two shots the entire match, and both garnered a goal for Delaware. For the season, the Australian forward posts 17 points comprised of seven goals and three assists.
Stenner and Donnellan will return home with the rest of the Hens on Tuesday for a non-conference matchup between George Washington at 7 p.m.
