Men’s Golf Finishes in Fifth-Place Tie at Georgetown Intercollegiate

WESTFIELD, N.J. – The University of Delaware men's golf team registered its third top-five finish in four tournaments this fall as the Blue Hens tied for fifth place at the 12-team Georgetown Intercollegiate. Delaware carded a three-round score of 41-over par 893 at the par-71, 7,202-yard Echo Lake Country Club.

- T10. Arsit Areephun – 71-74-75=220 (+7)
- T19. Ikk Iampongsai – 72-79-71=222 (+9)
- T27. Casper Nerpin – 74-76-74=224 (+11)
- T42. Jeffrey Homer – 74-79-78=231 (+18)
- T44. Egor Zubov – 79-78-75=232 (+19)

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Blue Hens totaled 25 birdies and one eagle over the 54 holes, including 11 during Tuesday's final round.
- Areephun carded an even-par 71 during Monday's first round and finished with five total birdies.
- Iampongsai eagled the second hole during in his opening round and added three more birdies to shoot an even-par 71 over his final 18 holes.
- Nerpin posted a team-high eight birdies over his 54 holes.
UP NEXT
The Blue Hens will close out their fall schedule next week when they travel to New York for the Nassau Intercollegiate, hosted by LIU. The two-day, three-round tournament will be held October 21-22.
