Men’s Golf Concludes Fall with Third-Place Finish at Nassau Intercollegiate

GLEN COVE, N.Y. – The University of Delaware men's golf team used a strong second round to climb the standings and finish third at the 13-team Nassau Intercollegiate, hosted by LIU. It is UD's fourth top-five finish in five tournaments this fall. The Blue Hens turned in a three-round score of 34-over par 874 at the par-70, 6,829-yard Nassau Country Club.

T6. Ikk Iampongsai – 72-72-73=217 (+7)
T11. Egor Zubov – 75-71-72=218 (+8)
T15. Arsit Areephun – 76-69-74=219 (+9)
T22. Casper Nerpin – 75-72-74=221 (+11)
T45. Matthew Homer – 80-76-73=229 (+19)
Team – 298-284-291=874 (+34)

HOW IT HAPPENED

Delaware tied for the best team score of the second round as they posted a 284 to shoot from 10th to fourth in the standings.
The Blue Hens totaled 34 birdies over the 54 holes, including 26 over the final two rounds.
Iampongsai carded eight birdies to post his first-career top-10 finish.
Zubov had a strong final 27 holes to climb up the standings and place just outside of the top 10.
Areephun carded a 1-under par 69 during Monday's second round to help secure his fourth top-20 finish of the fall.
Nerpin led the Blue Hens for the second-straight tournament as he totaled 10 birdies.

UP NEXT
The Blue Hens will break until the spring semester when they will play in five more tournaments to prepare for the 2025 CAA Championship.
