Chatten, Donnellan Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

NEWARK, Del. - The University of Delaware men's soccer program had two athletes named to the 2024 CSC Academic All-District Team on Tuesday, November 19. Sophomore Luke Chatten and senior Sam Donellan earned a spot based on their athletic and academic performance.
To be named to the CSC Academic All-Distric, a student-athlete must be of at least sophomore status and possess a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 along with participating in at least 90 percent of matches or starting in at least 66 percent of matches.
Chatten is a defender hailing from Haddon Township, N.J. He played and started in 15 games during his sophomore career, tallying 1,297 minutes on the season. Chatten is a kinesiology major that has made the dean's list during both of his freshman semesters. He enjoys volunteering for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter at Delaware and in his hometown. Over his two seasons, Chatten has made 20 starts and played in 34 games.Â
The Australian forward, Donnellan, played in all 16 matches and started in 15 matches this fall season. He is at the top of the program leader board with 22 points, nine goals, and four assists. Donnellan was awarded CAA Offensive Player of the Week after his two-goal performance against UNCW and named to the All-CAA First Team at the conclusion of the regular season. During his three seasons at Delaware, Donnellan has collected 62 points, 27 goals, eight assists, and 50 starts over 52 games played. Up campus, Donnellan is a mathematics major who supplements his studies through an internship with the sports analytics department at Delaware athletics.
