Men’s Basketball Hosts Delaware State

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware men's basketball team (4-3) hosts its first game in two weeks, facing the Delaware State Hornets (3-5) on Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. inside the Bob Carpenter Center.

- Delaware enters Tuesday on a two-game winning streak, having taken down Yale and Rider.
- The Blue Hens rank 10th in the nation and second in the CAA in free throw percentage, shooting 80.7 percent as a team.
- John Camden leads the team in scoring, averaging 17.7 points per game which is fourth in the CAA. He is second in the league and is 31st nationally in three-point field-goal percentage. Among his fellow forwards, Camden's percentage from beyond the arc ranks sixth in the country.
- Cavan Reilly (14.1), Niels Lane (12.3), Izaiah Pasha (11.0), and Erik Timko (10.9) are also scoring in double figures on average.
- Delaware State is coming off a 22-point loss at Texas on Friday.
- Head coach Stan Waterman is in his fourth season at the helm of the Hornets. Waterman is a UD alum, playing on the men's basketball team from 1984-89.
- The Hornets crash the glass, grabbing 14.8 offensive boards per game, which places them 18th nationally.
- Senior guard Martaz Robinson leads Delaware State in scoring, averaging 16.4 points per game.
- Delaware holds an 18-5 edge over its in-state rivals.
- The Blue & Gold under Ingelsby are 6-1 against the Hornets, winning the last four contests.
