PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The University of Delaware women's lacrosse team suffered their first loss of the season against unbeaten Temple, 13-8. The Blue Hens are 3-1 on the season and 1-1 on the road.

HENS HIGHLIGHTS

Keira Grant scored two goals in the second quarter, later recording a hat trick and a fourth goal.
Riley Gillin scored on a free-position minutes into the second half.
Morgan Gore assisted Delaney McDaniel for her second goal of the season.
Jaclyn Marszal scored with two minutes left in the game.
Gillin scored her second goal of the game with 1:48 left in the contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Temple shut out the Blue Hens in the first quarter.
The Blue Hens would give up the first four goals.
The Owls scored five goals in the second quarter, leading by four at halftime.
McDaniel's goal would cut the Owls lead to three midway through the third quarter, 7-4; the closest the Blue Hens would get.
Julie Schickling for the Owls doubled their lead with five minutes left in the third, leading 8-4.
The Hens scored two unanswered goals to cut the Owls advantage to 12-8.
Seven different Owls scored.
Of their 18 shots on goal, the Owls scored on 13 of them.

GAME NOTES

Fourth game in a row in which Gillin scored at least three points.
Sophia Foohey played goalie for the Hens in the fourth quarter.
First time all season the Blue Hens would not have at least seven goal scorers.
