Late Game Rally Leads to Win Over Hofstra for Baseball

With the win, the Blue Hens are now 14-13 overall and are 4-3 in CAA play.
HEN HIGHLIGHTS
- The Blue Hens offensively were led by Andrew Amato and Aiden Stewart. Amato went 2-for-5 with a double and three RBI's. Stewart was 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and a RBI.
- Ethan Shaub started the game for the Blue Hens. He pitched 2 innings, allowed one earned run off four hits and walked one batter. In relief were Tyler August, Anthony Gubitosi and Owen Margolis. August went 5 innings, allowed zero runs off three hits, walked one batter, struck out three and was credited with the decision. He is now 2-3 on the season. Gubitosi and Margolis pitched the final two innings.
- The Pride's got the game going with an RBI single in the bottom of the second inning.
- The Blue Hens broke out in the eighth with a six run inning.
- Stewart got the rally started with an RBI double, followed by an Eric Ludman RBI single, a 3-run double by Amato and an RBI double from Chris Dengler to make it a 6-1 game
- UD added two more runs in the top of the ninth and extended its lead to 8-3.
- The Blue Hens own a 84-32 all-time series lead over the Pride.
