STONY BROOK, N.Y. – The University of Delaware women's lacrosse team was overmatched offensively against Stony Brook, losing to the Seawolves 17-4. The Blue Hens only managed seven shots, while the Seawolves finished with 32. The Seawolves also had three times the amount of draw controls that the Hens had (18-6). With the loss, the Hens fall to 8-4 this season and 1-3 against CAA opponents. Stony Brook remains undefeated in conference play.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

Jaclyn Marszal recorded 75 percent of the points, scoring a goal and notching two assists.
Jenna McHale scored her second goal of the season.
Morgan Gore scored her 12^th goal of the season.
McKenzie Didio tallied her fifth goal this year.
Lizzie Yurchak added an assist for her 17^th point of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Stony Brook controlled the field of play for the entire quarter. The Seawolves scored three goals in 90 seconds early in the first quarter and finished the first 15 minutes up 7-0.
The Blue Hens found the back of the net twice in the second quarter, but were still outscored by the Seawolves 4-2, trailing at the half, 11-2.
The Seawolves controlled possession for most of the quarter. They outscored the Hens 3-1, giving the Seawolves an 11-goal advantage heading into the final 15 minutes.
The Seawolves would again outscore the Hens 3-1 in the fourth quarter after scoring the first three goals; crowning Stony Brook as 17-4 winners.
