NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware women's lacrosse team came out firing against Campbell as Lizzie Hsu scored five goals while the Blue Hens leaned on Delaney McDaniel's six assists to defeat Campbell, 16-6. Madison Hranicka reset the program's single season caused turnover mark with her 51st of the season. She tallied 50 last season.
The Blue Hens improve to 9-4 and 2-3 in the CAA as the Camels drop to 3-11, 0-5 CAA.
ON THE RECORD
"This is the first time in a while that we have really worked together this week in practice; day-in, day-out and really worked together as a team," McDaniel said. "And everyone on that field made it possible today. It is really up to them… they made the goals."
"We can take this momentum into Sunday," Hsu said. "We did not do well against Stony Brook but today we knew we had to flush that and go in as a new game, a clean slate, and just play Blue Hen lacrosse like we always do."
