Women’s Golf in 11th After First 18 Holes at Bermuda Run Regional

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The University of Delaware women's golf team sits in 11th place after the first round of the Bermuda Run Regional, hosted by Wake Forest. All five Blue Hens are within three strokes of each other following the first 18 holes. Play is being held at the Bermuda Run Country Club East Course (par 72 / 6,297 yards).

Delaware will tee off in the second round of the Bermuda Run Regional at 8:55 a.m. on Tuesday morning. The Blue Hens will again start on the back nine of the course and will be paired with Charleston Southern and Navy for the second-straight day.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Starting on the back nine, the round began well as the Blue Hens recorded three birdies on the first hole and four total birdies on the first two holes.
- Etxezarreta had two birdies over the first nine holes and Carroll birdied twice on the back nine to tie for the team lead in scoring.
- Henkel finished with a team-high four birdies on the round.
