Men's Soccer Match Ends in a Draw at Le Moyne
9/7/2024 4:46:00 PM | Men's Soccer
NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware men's soccer team earned a 2-2 tie in their Saturday afternoon match at Le Moyne College. This game marked the Hens first tie of the season as their record now sits at 3-1-1.
ON THE RECORD
"I'm very happy with the character of the group to come from behind twice and earn a result," said head coach, Tommy McMenemy. "It wasn't our best day in terms of quality, but the boys found ways to be dangerous, and a makeshift back four put in a ton of work to give us a chance in the game. Finding ways to grind out results on the road is a good quality in a team, and our group is learning how to do it."
"It was a well fought draw from us today," shared Anthony Rowan. "We had some things that didn't go our way but I'm proud of the boys for pushing through until the end and fighting to earn us a point. There's some work to be done this week as we move forward towards conference play soon."
HEN HIGHLIGHTS
The Hens are back home for a Tuesday evening game at 7 p.m. where they will celebrate senior night.
