NEWARK, Del. - The University of Delaware rowing program has set its 2025-26 schedule. Head coach Asiya Mahmud announced Wednesday.
The Fightin' Blue Hens will be in their first season in the Mid-American Conference (MAC), in the league's inaugural season of sponsorship.
Mahmud enters her third season leading the program to an all-time finish of third place in last year's CAA Championship.
The Hens begin competition this Sunday, at the Head of the Christina, on October 5. This race on the Christina River will be their only regatta in The First State.
They will follow that up by heading up to the City of Brotherly Love to close out the fall with two races on the Schuylkill River.
The Blue & Gold will participate in the Navy Day Regatta (October 12) and the Head of the Schuylkill (October 25).
To start the spring season, UD will take on Saint Joseph's (March 7) and its first MAC opponent in Temple (March 28), both in Philadelphia.
The only two-day race of the year will be the Knecht Cup in Cherry Hill, N.J. (April 11-12).
Delaware will head up to Ithaca, N.Y. to compete in the Cornell Invite (April 18) and over to Massachusetts for the Worcester Women's Invite (April 25).
The spring season will conclude with the Hens first trip to the MAC Championships, which will be in Ypsilanti, Mich. on Ford Lake - the same lake that UD captured the Ford Lake Cup in April 2025.
