NEWARK, Del. – For the second-straight game, the University of Delaware baseball team claimed a run-rule victory, using three home runs to defeat Bryant 14-2 on Friday night at Bob Hannah Stadium. With the win, the Blue Hens improve to 4-5 overall, while the Bulldogs fall to 2-4-1.

HENS HIGHLIGHTS

Aiden Stewart had three hits, finishing a triple shy of the cycle, and scored three runs while driving in two.
Aaron Graeber had two hits, including a home run, and drove in four runs while scoring three.
Evan Bouldin had two hits, including a three-run home run, and LT Cockrill also had a pair of base knocks.
Ethan Shaub struck out five in three innings on the mound for his first win of the season.
Elias Conway had three strikeouts in three innings of relief and Justin Needles fired a perfect frame.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Bryant took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first.
The Blue Hens answered with a pair of runs on an errant double play throw in the bottom of the second.
A two-out Stewart double and Brett Lesher RBI single plated a run in the third to extend UD's lead to 3-1.
The Bulldogs cut the lead in half with a run in the second.
Stewart drove a two-run homer over the center field fence in the bottom of the fifth to push the advantage up to 5-2.
In the sixth, Graeber launched an opposite field three-run home run as he went well over the left field wall. UD added a run on a throwing error to make it 9-2.
Delaware scored a pair of runs in the seventh on a bases-loaded walk and a wild pitch before Bouldin blasted a three-run shot, his first home run as a Blue Hen, to enforce the mercy rule.

GAME NOTES

The Blue Hens have now won four-straight games.
Delaware's offense has scored at least 10 runs in three-consecutive games, scoring 49 runs over those three games.
Stewart's sixth-inning single was the 100th base hit of his career.
Bouldin has nine RBIs in the last two games.

UP NEXT

The two teams will resume their three-game series on Saturday at Bob Hannah Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.
