Track & Field Performs Well at Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. - The University of Delaware track & field team earned 12 new entries in the program's record book after a three-day competition at the Raleigh Relays, hosted by North Carolina State.Â

UD will the Delaware Invitational next Friday, April 4 at Grant Stadium. The Blue Hens will celebrate senior day before the start of the meet at 9:30 a.m. with the meet set to start at 10 a.m.

- Mackenzie Stephens was the top finisher for the Blue Hens, placing second in the hammer throw with a personal record of 53.74 meters. Stephens throw, along with Sophia Axelrod's throw of 52.63 meters rank third and fifth all-time.
- Olamide Ayeni set a new personal best mark in the women's shot put with a throw of 14.68 meters. The mark ranks second in program history.
- Ayeni also set a new personal best in the discus with a throw of 50.81 meters, earning fourth place. Her mark ranks third in program history.
- Kadence Dumas' time of 2:08.72 in the 800-meter run ranks sixth-all time.
- Brooke Duke's jump of 1.65 meters in the high jump is a new personal best and ranks tied for seventh in program history.
- Lauren Leath set a new person best with a time of 55.46. The time ranks seventh in program history.
- Leah Clear's time of 4:33.33 is a new personal best and ranks eighth in program history.
- Sara Manson's time of 14.59 in the 100 hurdles ranks seventh in program history. Manson's mark of 5.56 meters in the long jump is 10th in program history.
- Emarie Jackson's throw of 42.23 meters in the women's discus ranks 10th in program history and is a new personal best.
- Laurel Conway set a new personal best in the javelin, with a throw of 40.78 meters. The mark ranks 10th in program history. Â
