Track & Field Finishes Up Weekend at Virginia Challenge

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The University of Delaware track & field team competed in the Virginia Challenge, hosted by the University of Virginia, on Friday and Saturday.

The following athletes were the top finishers for UD:

The following athletes were the top finishers for UD:
- Olamide Ayeni (15.08 meters) and Emarie Jackson (14.91 meters) were eighth and ninth in the shot put. Ayeni's throw is second all-time in program history and Jackson's is third all-time in program history.
- Ayeni also finished seventh in the discus throw at 51.76 meters, improving on her personal best, which ranks third in program history.
- Mackenzie Stephens was the top finisher in the hammer throw (51.31 meters)
- Kadance Dumas was the top Blue Hen finisher in the 800-meter invite (2:09.49)
- Laurel Conway was the top Blue Hen finisher in the javlin throw (39.95 meters)
