Track & Field Competed in Two Meets This Weekend

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The University of Delaware track & field team competed in a pair of track meets this weekend.
A group of athletes traveled to the Penn Relays from April 24-26. A second group of athletes competed in the Carol and John Covert Classic, hosted by Lehigh on April 26.

PENN RELAY RESULTS
- Delaware's Distance Medley Relay team of Leah Clear, Lauren Leath, Kadence Dumas and Marissa Dailey finished in seventh with a time of 11:36.45. The time ranks second all-time in program history.
- Morgan Reiner was eighth in the javlin throw at 40.97 meters. The throw ranks 10th all-time in program history.
- Emarie Jackson was 10th in the shot-put championships (14.66 meters)
- Olamide Ayeni finished fourth in the shot put (14.96 meters) and 10th in the discus throw championships (50.32 meters).
- Madison Shaffery was tied for 10th in the high jump at 1.60 meters.
- Sophia Axelrod was the top finisher in the discus throw at 39.15 meters. She was also the top finisher in the hammer throw at 50.93 meters.
CAROL AND JOHN CONVERT CLASSIC RESULTS
- Hannah Smalley (2:16.15) and Jordan Blanck (2:16.98) were first and second in the 800-meter run.
- Tiffany Herrera was the top finisher in the 5,000 meter run (18:18.59)
- Libby DeMichele was second in the 3,000 steeplechases at 11:32.23
- Morgan Mims was second in the 400-meter dash at 56.68 seconds.
- Jianna Molin was third in the 100-meter dash at 12.44 seconds.
- Jayde McDermid was fourth in the 400-meter hurdles at 1:04.35.
- Chali Baumann was fifth in the long jump at 5.39 meters.
- Sara Manson was fifth in the high jump at 1.52 meters.
- Jacquelyn Rolle was 10th in the 200-meter dash at 26.20 seconds.
